HARVEST MARKET & BLUEGRASS

On First Fridays, October 1st from 7PM - 11PM, Gallery5 will be hosting a regional harvest market, a bluegrass showcase, a brand new GallowLily's exhibition and Paul DiPasquale's arm of "Connecticut".

Our Harvest Market and Bluegrass show will feature regional produce vendors and live performances by some of Virginia's premier independent bluegrass musicians! Featuring Performances by The Hot Seats (Richmond) http://thehotseats.net/
Jason Ring (Lynchburg) http://www.JasonRingLive.com/
and more!!

Our GallowLily's art space will showcase "Pen on Paper": Original works by Tyler Thomas!

We still have "Self Titled" on the walls upstairs for those of you who may have missed it last month. This show will be coming down soon so make sure you come take a look before it's gone!

"Connecticut", one of DiPasquale's public works is the monumental fiberglass bust, now owned by ODELL Architecture. It was originally built and installed it in Washington DC in 1983 to honor Native Americans in the Capital of America. Its unveiling in 1983 was covered national press and broad cast media. It was purchase from the sculptor and donated to the Diamond, Richmond’s ballpark, where it became a city icon for 25 years. “Connecticut” will be set atop the historic Lucky Strike building overlooking the James River tidal basin where the sculpture, once again, offers homage to our original Americans…the river, Yeokanta, and where America began.

FIRST FRIDAYS: OCTOBER 1, 7:00-11:00PM
